How we research commercial security prices
Our method is designed to show the provenance, meaning and limitations of every number.
Source hierarchy
We prioritize official manufacturer and provider pages for their own current prices and specifications; public agencies and technical documentation for requirements; established integrators for clearly labeled market benchmarks; and original quote arithmetic for buyer scenarios.
Four labels
Vendor-published prices describe a seller’s public offer. Market benchmarks are third-party observations. Illustrative calculations apply transparent arithmetic to stated inputs. Individual quotes apply only to the quoted scope, time and customer.
Review process
We open each source, verify that it supports the claim, record the review date, disclose material limitations and remove figures that cannot be verified. Pages are updated when underlying offers or material buying conditions change.
Search and originality
Each guide addresses a distinct decision and adds scope tables, comparison logic and buyer questions. We do not create location-swapped or near-duplicate pages.
